Nick Gilder is a Canadian musician and singer-songwriter. He is best known for his hit single “Hot Child in the City” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1978.
He had several other popular songs and albums in the late 1970s and 1980s. Gilder also co-wrote the popular song “We Built This City” for the band Starship. He continues to actively perform and record music.
